Cath Jones | Systemic Psychotherapist

 

Cath is a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist as well as an accredited Systemic Supervisor. In addition she is EFCT (Emotion Focussed Couple Therapy) trained. She is registered with UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy), a member of AFT (Association of Family Therapy) and ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotion Focused Therapy)

Cath has over 30 years’ experience of working with children, families and couples that have been affected by distressing or challenging relationships, life events or circumstances. In the last 18 years she has practiced as a qualified therapist, within NHS and Local Government Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). This has included consulting to Social Care Teams and Foster Carers as well as providing therapy for Children that are Looked After. In addition, Cath has worked as a Family Therapist for a charity offering residential neurorehabilitation to children with an acquired brain injury. This has included parenting and couple work. Families have come from diverse backgrounds and circumstances seeking support on a variety of issues including children’s neurodiversity (ADHD/ASD), relational conflict, developmental trauma and attachment difficulties, low mood, anxiety, as well as significant loss and grief. Cath has also been a tutor at the Institute of Family Therapy and held her own private practice.
