Understanding self-harm in young people.
This webinar will be led by Stephen McCluskey, a highly experienced mental health nurse who has spent the last 30 years working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS), the National Self Harm Service for Adolescents and Specialist Personality Disorder services. He has extensive knowledge of self-harm having worked in this specialist area with young people and families.
Aimed at informing parents, carers and professionals, he will discuss the context of self harm in young people, covering the underlying causes and functions of self harm, risk factors, triggers and strategies for supporting young people who harm themselves including available support.
