The Family Treatment Service was founded to provide the best evidence based, client centred care to those wishing to access private mental health support. As a not for profit practice,  our values underpin all the decisions we make, and our goal is to re-invest surplus funds into supporting those disadvantaged in our local community, and support access to expert mental health provision for all. We also hope to relieve some of the burden on the NHS by providing gold standard treatment options for those that are able to pay for it.

“We believe mental health care should be personalised,  compassionate, and evidence-based. As a clinically led, not for profit practice, working towards meaningful change with our clients underpins all our decisions.”

Our values.

  • Ethical

We are proud to be clinically, not commercially driven - meaning our advice and treatment options always prioritise working towards meaningful change.  We try to make values based, ethical decisions about everything we do,  from reducing our carbon footprint by using our solar panelled roofs, sending zero waste to landfill, ensuring our cleaners are paid the London living wage, and sourcing high quality supplies thoughtfully.

  • Expert

We only have highly qualified and experienced clinicians, who are the best in class at what they do.  They are closely supervised in order to ensure they are providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment our clients can trust. As an ethical employer, clinician well-being is also incredibly important to us.

  • Personalised

Our clinical triage approach ensures care plans are tailored by clinicians to individual needs. All clients or parents are offered a phone call with a highly experienced member of the team, in order to fully understand the presenting difficulty, and talk through the treatment options. There is always an on call duty clinician that can be contacted for support or advice, and the service is clinically led. Our multi-disciplinary service offers access to diagnosis, assessments, treatments and prescribing all under one service, enabling us to personalise your care, and liaise easily between professionals to provide a coordinated approach.

Our approach to fees and pricing

We endeavour to keep our costs lower than others providing care at the same level; full transparency of all our fees can be found HERE.

Whilst our not for profit ethos drives our decisions including pricing, we also pride ourselves on being a fair and compassionate employer, ensuring our highly qualified clinicians are paid fairly and appropriately.  We also need to ensure that we can retain the very best clinicians, who are highly sought after in private practice.

The Family Treatment Service is proud to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), demonstrating its commitment to providing safe, effective, accountable, and high-quality care.
