Depression
What is Depression?
Whilst it’s normal to feel down or low in mood from time to time, depression is marked by feelings of deep sadness and hopelessness that persist for a long time, affecting enjoyment of life and daily activities.
There is no single cause of depression, but it can be hereditary and triggered by a person’s environment or past experiences.
Depression can also occur in response to a negative life event, such as a relationship breakdown or bereavement.
